Who will I work with?

A Product Specialist, one of our expert designers who specializes in child-centered layout and product planning using the Groh collection.

What kind of expertise does a Product Specialist have?

Our Product Specialists are trained designers with deep expertise in childhood development, educational environments, and layout planning for function, flow, and play. They’re experts in translating your family’s needs into beautifully designed spaces using only Groh products.

Is this a design service?

No — this is a guided shopping experience. It does not include custom sourcing, architectural plans, or construction support.

What do I receive after my session?

You will receive a curated shopping cart featuring recommended products from Groh Shop, along with layout and placement guidance discussed during your appointment.

Can you recommend products from other retailers?

No. Recommendations are limited to products available through Groh Shop.

Can I still use the service if I’m a grandparent?

Absolutely! Many of our customers are grandparents designing spaces for weekend visits, sleepovers, or multi-generational homes.

I’m a designer or contractor. Can I use this for trade support?

Absolutely! The Playroom Planning Session is complimentary for approved members of our Partners in Play Trade Program.

To get started, simply apply to the program and submit the required documentation for review. Once approved, you'll have access to complimentary planning support, including product recommendations, layout guidance, and a curated shopping cart tailored to your client's space.

Do you offer this service outside the U.S.?

Not yet! We currently serve clients only in the contiguous United States — but we’d love to hear from you if you’re international and interested.

Scheduling & Preparation

Do I need to measure my space?

Yes — to create a tailored plan, we’ll need photos and basic measurements at least 72 hours before your session.

Your Product Specialist will walk you through what to send and how to measure easily.

What happens if I don’t submit materials on time?

If we don’t receive your measurements and photos by the 72-hour deadline, we’ll need to reschedule your session.

How long does it take?

The full process takes about 1–2 weeks from receipt of your complete intake materials to the creation of your curated shopping cart & layout.

Can I reschedule?

Yes. We understand schedules change. After two reschedule requests, however, the session may be canceled and converted into a Groh Shop gift card equal to the amount paid.

Pricing & Credit

What’s included in the $500 fee?

Your fee covers:

A 55-minute Planning session with your Product Specialist.
A personalized room layout, and a curated shopping cart.

If you spend $2,500 or more in the Groh Shop, your fee is fully credited to your order.

Note: Your credit will expire 60 days after you receive your curated shopping cart.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Your Product Specialist will begin preparing personalized recommendations before your scheduled session, so all sessions fees are non-refundable. However, we’re confident the value and clarity you’ll gain will far exceed the cost.

Can I buy during my session?

Definitely! If you’re ready, your Product Specialist can help finalize your selections and place your order during your session. If not, you’ll receive your cart and plan afterward, so you can purchase on your own time.
